The Custom Pool Process

what to expect, step by step

01Design

After initial consultation with a valued member of our team, we will mobilize to visit your home to evaluate the site as well as supporting infrastructure such as electrical, plumbing, irrigation, landscaping and other elements of the discussion and design.

Our team member representative will set up a time for you to meet with the builder to discuss your project in more detail. This meeting will generate a request for pricing for your project. If your specific project discussion generates any custom elements that require additional purchasing, we will pause the process and then re-convene when all pricing has been attained.

After the pricing is reviewed and approved by both parties, the contract can be executed. Once the contract is executed, it is then released to the production team where all specific items needed for the permitting and purchasing process will be processed and actions will be taken to produce the building permit.

02Pre-Construction

Once the permitting and purchasing activities have been completed, the team will gather together to review the project in a Pre-construction meeting that will be held at the corporate office. All items pertaining to the build are scrutinized for accuracy and completeness. Once the pre-construction meeting is complete, the job is released to the field. This signifies the beginning of the production work.

03Breaking ground

Ready for action! As leading pool contractors in Cape Coral FL, breaking ground is a step we look forward to! One of our field supervisors will be on site to direct and assist the starts team to prepare the home for production. This will include any irrigation and landscaping prep, electrical prep, fill dirt and grading prep, temporary staging areas for materials needed for production as well as any other site related items needed to be completed prior to digging and forming the pool.

04Shell Production

When the shell team shows up, it is all hands on deck! There will be equipment on site with materials being delivered and workers on site preparing to set up the pool shell so that the project will be ready for the first inspection. This will happen before the workers show up to create the pool shell with the gunite concrete material.

05Plumbing, Coping, Waterline tiles and Back-fill

After the shell has been formed and shot, the next step is to install the rough plumbing and electrical to the pool lights which will be inspected by city inspectors. This will aslo trigger the installation of dirt around the pool to cover the pipes in preparation for future paver deck. Once the dirt is in place, the crews will install the pool coping and waterline tiles. Once completed, the crews will install the pool bonding wires and get them inspected. Once all this is completed, the pool is now ready for pool deck pavers to be installed.

06Pool Deck, Equipment set, Cage installation, Plaster

Once the deck prep has been completed, the crews will deliver and install the decking materials including deco-drains to ensure proper drainage. Once the deck is installed the aluminum crews will be able to measure for the pool cage. Prior to installing the pool cage, the crews will install the pool equipment including electrical hookups. Once the pool equipment is installed and the cage is installed, it will be inspected by the city inspectors to ensure that all safety precautions are in place so that the pool finish can be installed which allows the pool to be filled with water. All safety precautions are taken to ensure that the pool may be filled with water and that the process complies with all municipalities and codes.

07Pool Start-up and turnover

Once the pool has been filled with water, the technicians will perform the start up process. They will program the pump and surrounding equipment to run at the prescribed times and duration. They will add the proper chemicals and start brushing the plaster finish. This process usually takes approximately 1 month to complete during which time the occupants are encouraged to refrain from using the pool due to high chemical content. After the pool chemicals have been balanced and the pool technician is comfortable with the progress of the balancing activities, he will release the pool to be used by the occupants. At this time, the pool technician will most likely add the necessary amount of salt in order to commence using the salt chlorine generator.

08Pool Maintenance

Once the pool technician has released the pool to the occupant, they will set up a show and tell session with the occupant to review the final elements of the pool including the automation process. After the show and tell, it is the responsibility of the Occupant to contract for pool maintenance or simply take on the responsibility of pool maintenance themselves.
